Hi everyone! This week has been a mess for ThePenintheStone.com and PenandCapeSociety.com. If you don’t follow my Twitter (and you should 🙂 then you know that our host server, already extremely slow, died four days ago. Since that time, both websites have gone up and down with alert flying all around email land. The site HTTP would work but PHP would not or Cpanel would not respond. It was a frustrating few days of email yelling at Arvixe and complaining on Twitter. Since you are reading this, you know that both sites are back up. And guess what? The server is responding faster now. Imagine that. Everyone is pissed off and finally Arvixe does something about it.

So where do we go from here? Many of the authors at PCS want to bump our service up to better handle the websites and forums. I think it is a good idea that is worth exploring.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding during the downtime. Hopefully it will be the last time the site goes dark for several days.
